Vision and Mission
Vision: The department seeks to prepare the young mind as a ‘POLITICAL’ being through rigorous academic exercise, extensive and innovative research work, and developing persistent relationships with the social reality through intensive debate and discussion with the masses. The acronym ‘POLITICAL’ signifies Professional, Open minded, Logical, Inclusive, Trustworthy, Innovative and Competent.
Mission: The department has set a number of missions as follows

To develop innovative initiatives for pursuing academic excellence in teaching, research and extension activities.

To create awareness in society about various rights, liberties and freedom that individuals enjoy and to create future citizens with moral commitment to these values.

To develop teaching and training in professional requirements of the subjects so that the students might perform competent roles as teachers and researcher, Administrator, Legislator and professional in politics in general.
